Letter to Our Readers: Moving Forward

Dear friends,

We are so grateful to share that thanks to your generosity, we reached our $2,500 goal on August 25th—just hours before our Board met to discern next steps. That goal was chosen because $2,500 is what it takes to keep CatholicIntimacy.org running strong each month: publishing a weekly article and a video, and continuing to develop resources like courses and digital tools for couples.

What it doesn’t cover, however, are the behind-the-scenes expenses for each coach—about $175 per coach per month for software, insurance, and individual marketing. Over the summer, we revised our coaching contracts to make sure these costs would be met. Unfortunately, as we expected, the slower client flow combined with these new terms led several of our coaches to decide to step away.

We are deeply grateful to Bridget, Karoline, and Kay for their hard work and dedication. Please keep them in your prayers as they move on to new opportunities.

Moving Forward

Here’s the new gameplan:

  • We’ve returned to our old Squarespace site, which Parker is giving a fresh renovation.

  • We are now fully switched over to CatholicIntimacy.org—please update your saved contact emails!

  • Squarespace is more blog-friendly, and since our blog reaches the most people, that’s where our focus will be. (Courses will still be available at courses.catholicintimacy.org).

Our ongoing overhead is about $800 per month. Once that is covered, payroll for our small content team comes next. That means our monthly fundraising target is $2,500. At that level, we can confidently authorize our team—Alexander, Theo, and Parker—to produce an article, a video, and resource development/site maintenance every single week.

The catch is simple: we can only begin creating once the month’s bills are covered. If you want more content, we need your help to make it possible.

Here are some ways to pitch in:

  • $17.84 – Sponsor the site for a day

  • $28 – Sponsor one hour of content creation

  • $140 – Sponsor an article (feel free to leave us a note about what topic you would like addressed)

We know—we’re not Netflix. You probably won’t spend an hour every day on our site. But what we’re building together matters far more than entertainment. Would you prayerfully consider giving just $10/month—a little more than a Netflix subscription? If 80 friends commit to $10/month, every one-time donation can go directly to new content creation.

Consultations

We’re also continuing to offer moral consultations with Alexander, now on a donation basis: you choose what to contribute toward the cost of the session. Book a session here.

Coming Soon

Finally, even though fundraising slowed our publishing schedule, we already have several articles ready to release in the coming weeks. Stay tuned—they’re on their way!

Thank you for being part of this mission. Every prayer, every share, every dollar truly helps us to lay the foundation for a Catholic renewal in marital intimacy.

In Christo Rege,
James Walther
