A Simple and Satisfying Remedy For Premature Ejaculation

Premature ejaculation is one of the most common challenges married couples face, but it does not have to diminish intimacy or satisfaction. This article shares a simple, faith-based and practical approach that can help many couples transform frustration into a more relaxed, fulfilling experience together.

Premature ejaculation is a common issue, but it is one that can lead to shame for the husband and frustration for the wife. One can find many recommendations on how to overcome this, and there are many good ones worth trying. Today I will share my favorite remedy, which is arguably the simplest and most satisfying for those for whom this works. This may not be an option for every couple, but for those whom this could work, it is worth a try. The remedy is simple: plan to have sex twice. This remedy is even recommended by Dr. Gregory Popcak, in his book, Holy Sex. After first offering a couple of other techniques, he says:

“Here’s one other point to consider while you’re learning to use these techniques well. If you do climax earlier than you desire during intercourse, a simple solution can be to have sex again as soon as you can achieve an erection. (You may either continue to stimulate your wife or take a break, as she prefers). Because of the differences in the arousal curve between men and women, each time a man climaxes, it takes longer for him to climax - and less time for her - in subsequent instances of lovemaking.” (Popcak, 93)

Here is why I call this both simple and satisfying. First, it does not necessarily require exercises and techniques. Second, it is an opportunity for both the husband and the wife to have multiple orgasms. For this reason, the husband need not have performance anxiety. In fact, both spouses can be happy that the husband finishes quickly the first time. Between each instance of intercourse, the husband can stimulate his wife and spend as long on this as she desires, thus creating an opportunity for her to climax multiple times during that stage. Then, when they are ready for intercourse again, it will last longer. This method can take something that can cause embarrassment and frustration - the husband’s tendency to finish too quickly initially - and turn it into a cause for joy because the spouses are choosing to spend more time making love.

This may not work for everyone. In most cases, a couple will only know if it works for them if they try it. If premature ejaculation is impacting your lovemaking sessions, you have nothing to lose by trying this, and much to gain. In the case of those couples for whom this will not work, husbands will need to learn to delay their climax in order to satisfy their wives.
